Jacqueline Mraz is a former lawyer and legal anthropologist who covered subjects for lawyers and academics like doing business in the Middle East, the anthropology of Islam, poverty law, and law and social theory. She is now a writer and budding activist who uses her firsthand experience of homelessness and domestic violence to try to help others. She lives in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, which she once knew as a homeless person on Skid Row.
