Good mothers go rogue again! Last night “A Bad Moms Christmas” celebrated its world premiere at the Village Theater in Westwood L.A.
From the press release: “A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS follows our three under-appreciated and over-burdened women as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn’t hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers. By the end of the journey, our moms will redefine how to make the holidays special for all and discover a closer relationship with their mothers.”
Opening November 1, “A Bad Moms Christmas” is a sequel to “Bad Moms” and stars a powerhouse of female talent, beginning with the returning and terrific Kathryn Hahn, Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell. Joining them are Susan Sarandon, Cheryl Hines, Christine Baranski and one of my favorite comics, Wanda Sykes.
Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, who wrote the 2009 hit comedy “The Hangover,” return as writers-directors and here’s hoping this holiday bad mommie version is as funny, goofy and subversive as the first.
