“All Eyez on Me,” a biopic about iconic rapper/poet Tupac Shakur starring Demetrius Shipp Jr. is getting lots of advance buzz.
Directed by: Benny Boom, the rest of the cast features Kat Graham, Lauren Cohan, Hill Harper, Jamal Woolard, Danai Gurira, the movie has a release date of June 16, 2017, which would have been Shakur’s 46th birthday.
From the release: ALL EYEZ ON ME tells the true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur. The film follows Shakur from his early days in New York City to his evolution into being one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices before his untimely death at the age of 25. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mind-set propelled him into becoming a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his passing.
From the trailer you can see Tupac and Notorious B.I.G in their first encounter and the. movie opens with Tupac’s activist mother arrested by the police.
