The SAG Awards – 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards – took place on Jan. 30, 2016 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and Rachel McAdams, along with her co-stars, walked away with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for “Spotlight.”
Rachel McAdams co-starred in the journalism drama alongside Mark Ruffalo and Michael Keaton.
The film chronicles the true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. The film is on track to pick up an Oscar for Best Picture.
Fantastic film – one of my favorites of the year.
