Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are officially the cutest couple ever (please don’t break up!). The two lovebirds cuddled at the SAG Awards – 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards – on Jan. 30, 2016 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Nicole Kidman was nominated for “Grace of Monaco” – Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. And she makes the perfect Grace Kelly.
The movie follows the life of former Hollywood star Grace Kelly, chronicling her crisis of marriage and identity during a political dispute between Monaco’s Prince Rainier III and France’s Charles De Gaulle. There was also a looming French invasion of Monaco in the early 1960s.
NICOLE KIDMAN AS GRACE OF MONACO: NO HAPPILY EVER AFTER
As Princess Grace, Grace Kelly did not live happily ever after. In fact, she died on a cliff road she’d known since her first visit to the Riviera. The spot was often said to be the same spot where the picnic scene from “To Catch a Thief” was filmed in 1954. Grace Kelly and Cary Grant starred in that iconic movie.
However, Kelly’s own son, Prince Albert of Monaco, denied this on “Larry King Live” and elsewhere. According to him, the accident did not even happen on the same road, let alone the same spot.
Grace Kelly was just 52 when she died in that automobile accident on September 14, 1982.
KEITH URBAN AND NICOLE KIDMAN CUDDLE AT THE SAG AWARDS 2016
Check out some pics of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman at the 2016 SAG Awards (I love her dress!). We’re really loving watching Keith on this season of “American Idol,” judging alongside Harry Connick, Jr. and Jennifer Lopez. We’re hoping the singing competition continues on after this season – which is supposed to be its final season.
Hey, you never know. If the ratings are good, I’m guessing they’d find a way to keep it going. Bottom line: if it makes money, they’ll keep it going!
