Time to board that speeding train headed towards the Academy Awards! This morning at the crack of dawn, John Krasinski, Guillermo del Toro and Ang Lee announced the nominations for the 88th Academy Awards, hosted by Chris Rock and airing Sunday, Feb. 28 on ABC.
Leonardo DiCaprio grabbed his fifth Oscar nomination for Best Actor in “The Revenant” (will this be his lucky year? I have a good feeling!). Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender, Bryan Cranston and Eddie Redmayne were also nominated in this category, while Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Charlotte Rampling, Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Lawrence earned nods in the Best Actress category.
Following up on his big Golden Globes win, Sylvester Stallone earned a Best Supporting nod for bringing Rocky back to the big screen in “Creed.” I have a good feeling about this one.
Watch the Oscar nominations, and below, check out the full list.
