‘The Hunger Games’ to Become London Stage Show

The Hunger Games Catching Fire

Need more Katniss Everdeen in your life? Suzanne Collins’ “The Hunger Games” series will become a stage show at Wembley Stadium in London.

Lionsgate, the company behind the excellent film adaptations, will partner with Imagine Nation and Triangular Entertainment to bring the extensive dystopian world to the stage.

Despite the award-winning team on board, creating a live production of “The Hunger Games” will be an impressive feat. Katniss Everdeen’s skill with a bow may require an actual archer to take the lead role, and the huge sprawling forest of the Arena will be difficult to replicate on a stage.

However, given Lionsgate’s success with “The Hunger Games” films – which remain some of the most impressive book-to-film adaptations to date – it will be fascinating to see what they come up with.
