Hallmark has two new Christmas movies premiering this weekend!

In “The Nine Lives of Christmas,” (Saturday, November 8/7C), a handsome fireman who is afraid of commitment adopts a stray cat and meets a beautiful veterinary student who challenges his decision to remain a confirmed bachelor. The film stars Gregory Harrison, and Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns”) stars as the bachelor fireman.

Cats and firemen? I’m so there.

“A Cookie Cutter Christmas” stars “When Calls the Heart’s” Erin Krakow as a teacher who befriends a handsome single dad. Her longtime rival and fellow school teachers duke it out during the holidays in a Christmas cookie bake-off, but their real feud ignites over a shared interest in the single dad. With both determined to win the prize and the romance, their competitiveness could jeopardize what matters most during the Christmas season. Miranda Frigon (“Primeval New World”) stars as Krakow’s rival.

The channel has already kicked off their holiday movie season on October 31. I know some viewers gripe that it’s too early for the holiday movies, but I for one am enjoy these early Christmas presents!
