When I first watched “Warehouse 13” back when it premiered in 2009, I wasn’t sure if this show had the legs to go a full season. I’ve been a fair-weather fan since. I watch it, but not religiously. I don’t hate the show, but I’m not obsessed with it either.
Now in their fifth and final season, our intrepid agents and the warehouse caretakers begin to say goodbye in the final six episodes starting tonight, Monday, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
While this season deals with some more serious plotlines like the fight between Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) and Paracelsus (Anthony Stewart Head) for the soul of the Warehouse, as well as Artie (Saul Rubinek) and Claudia’s search for her sister, they do lighten things up a bit with episodes taking place at a renaissance fair and fraternity row.
Pete (Eddie McClintock) sports a new haircut (not sure if I’m down with the bangs) while he ponders his relationship with Myka (Joanne Kelly).
Myka, recovering from a cancer scare, is also pondering her relationship with Pete. Will these two finally admit their attraction for each other? Though, personally, I never felt the chemistry between them.
In an ode to Spanish-language soap operas, set your DVRs to at least record the fourth episode in the season, “Savage Seduction,” when Pete, Myka, and Artie are sucked into a grandmother’s favorite telenovela caused by a newborn artifact. It’s one of the funnier episodes during the entire run of the show.
With the end of “Warehouse 13” around the bend, will “Warehouse 14” be opening its doors next? Are you sad to see the show go? Leave thoughts below.
