The wait is over, “Bones” has been renewed for its 10th and, most likely, last season. Starting on March 10, 2014, it will move back to it’s old time slot on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
Fox president Kevin Reilly said “Our viewers have embraced Emily, David and the entire cast and characters of “Bones” as their very own, and I think they are going to love what Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have planned for season 10!”
Also, as we already knew, Stephen Nathan, long time executive producer, will be the new showrunner, as creator Hart Hanson dives into his new project, “Brainstorm,” also on FOX.
As a longtime fan of “Bones,” I am delighted that we get a 10th season. It will be interesting to see what direction the show will go. One thing is for sure, the characters and cast is what makes the show so endearing.
As a dark comedy, “Bones” has not been nominated for many television awards (especially Emmys), but to the fans, it’s a true winner. How many shows, especially one-hour comedy dramas, have been on for ten years? Not many, I can assure you of that.
If you’ve never watched “Bones,” you should give it a try – but please start from the beginning. It is a wonderful, heartwarming, humorous and loving journey that you will be glad you became part of.
Do you watch “Bones”? Are you happy it has been renewed? What would you like to see explored in season 10?
