No, no, no! This is the part where you get to see me have an emotional breakdown over the break-up of two people I don’t even know.
But seriously? Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have broken up? No. Just no. I mean, look at them. Just look!
But yes. It’s true. Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr’s three-year marriage has come to an end.
A rep for Bloom confirms the breakup. “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months,” the rep said. “After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.”
“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”
The British actor and the Australian Victoria’s Secret model got together in 2007 and tied the knot in 2010. Their son, Flynn, who looks like a mini-me Orlando, was born in Jan. 2011.
But, as with so many Hollywood couples, rumors of trouble began swirling in late 2012, when Kerr was spotted without her wedding ring. The gorgeous pair hadn’t been spotted together for months, then began stepping out together as a happy couple.
As recent as Sept. 19, they were seen snuggling at the after party for the Broadway premiere of “Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet,” in which Bloom plays Romeo.
Bloom, 36, is perhaps best known for his role as the handsome elven archer Legolas in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, which he’ll reprise in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” in December. And then there’s his turn as Will Turner in the first three “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, co-starring Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley.
Kerr, 30, became famous as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2007 and was ranked number four in the “Top 20 Sexiest Models” on Models.com. As my daughter said, how could anyone break up with either one of them?
Are there no happy endings in Hollywood?! Are Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and Ron and Cheryl Howard the only couples who will stay the course?!
