Well, I guess Miley Cyrus’ plot to get more “exposure” is paying off! She’s scheduled to host and perform on the Oct. 5 episode of “Saturday Night Live.” I’m sure the SNL crew will give her plenty of opportunities to twerk and act weird, like she did at the MTV Video Music Awards.
But I”m more excited for the premiere episode of SNL on Sept. 28. Tina Fey – whose scheduled has opened up since “30 Rock” wrapped in the fall – will host the show that night.
This will be the 39th – yes, 39th! – season of the late night show. Arcade Fire returns as musical guest.
The Oct. 12 show will feature Bruce Willis host (yay!) and Katy Perry performing.
“Saturday Night Live” has added five new cast members for this season — Michael Patrick O’Brien, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, John Milhiser and Noël Wells — after the departures of Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis in May and Seth Meyers leaving later in the fall to take over Jimmy Fallon’s late night show.
