I’ve been writing for the Traverse City Film Festival this week – you can check out all my posts here. I’ll write more about the movies on this site in the coming weeks (some will no doubt do well this awards season), and post photos and Q&A notes, too.
But I wanted to post some photos from the screening of “Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me,” which follows the funny, poignant life of the great Broadway legend. She did a Q&A after the screening with Michael Moore, the film’s director Chiemi Karasawa, musical director Rob Bowman and a cherished friend she met in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Stritch is truly one of a kind, and we all knew we were in the presence of someone like no other, someone who is not afraid to say anything to anyone at any time. Take a look at the photos, and check out my story here.
