There’s a reason those two are smiling in that picture above. “Longmire” has been renewed!
I’d like to think it was because of my oh-so-awesome recap of Monday night’s season finale of “Longmire,” because hours after my post, A&E decided to pick “Longmire” up for a third season.
Of course, more likely it was the millions of viewers who tuned in to watch Ed Gorski harass Vic Moretti, Lizzie and her attempts to seduce Walt, or Branch (unsuccessfully) trying to win votes for the sheriff election.
The show has averaged close to five million viewers this season and remains A&E’s highest rated drama. The good news broke when writer and co-creator John Coveny tweeted:
“Thanks to the 5 million plus weekly fans (live+7). Young and older skewing alike! The call just came: SEASON 3 for #Longmire is a GO!”
Even though we’ll have to wait almost a year for season three, at least we can take comfort in knowing we’ll find out if Lizzie and Walt will get back together, if Henry will go to jail, if Branch will survive the two gunshots to his chest, and if Ferg will get his moment in the spotlight.
How excited are you that “Longmire” has been renewed?
I’m excited, and I’m still back in season one! More impetus to get caught up. And your finale recap totally tipped them into season three. I’m sure of it.
I think Longmire IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I’ve seem in a long time ! it has the best of two worlds today and a touch of yesterday !!
please don’t cancel this show ! I haven’t been excited to watch the next one on any show except this one ! Robert Taylor is a very believable actor .he’s not phony in any way . he acts like a real person would act in that situation.. he is perfect for that part and he does a great job !
thank you for a great show and I don’t say that lightly !
