More on the show and DVD sets…
Sometimes when a movie morphs into a TV show, the production starts to sink, but that’s not the case with this show. What’s really cool is that many of the original voice cast from the movie also lend their voices to the TV show. And the voices that were recast sound amazingly like the originals.
The stories, animation, and music are all top-notch, and a great way to keep up with the characters until “How to Train Your Dragon 2” is released in theaters June 20, 2014. Can’t wait for that!
Check out our “Kids’ Guide to Vikings”!
Loaded with exciting bonus content for the whole family to enjoy, disc one contains episodes 1-11; disc two contains episodes 12-20. The series also features original voice talent from the film including Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Zack Pearlman, and more.

Fans who buy (or win!) the DVD can unlock exclusive content in DreamWorks’ School of Dragons, the all-new game from JumpStart based on DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise. The game became available online July 17, and the mobile version followed shortly thereafter.
The two-part DVD set is jam-packed with special features that dive deeper into the world of Dragons. As a bonus, each DVD comes with a code to unlock an ultimate battle pack – and in select DVDs an exclusive Whispering Death or Thunderdrum dragon – for the DreamWorks’ School of Dragons game. School of Dragons lets players enter the world of Berk, where Hiccup, Toothless and other friends help players become the finest dragon trainers around. With cinema-like graphics and an immersive 3D world, it takes more than courage to train a dragon, but brains as well. For more information, visit http:www.schoolofdragons.com.

I would love to have this added to my collection i have seen the whole cartoon series an the movie an dying for the new one to release in june 2014!!! I want it!?!?!?! haha
My son is a huge fan of the franchise. We are already making plans for the second movie out in the summer of 2014 🙂
The daycare children in my home 1st introduced me to the original movie and consoled me when I thought the dragon was going to get killed. LOL….. They are sitting right behind me and watching a rental of the Riders of Berk and it is absolutely silent in my house. I know the children love the movie and I have to admit I love it as well. Doing daycare for over 20 years and am always looking for new “quality” dvd’s to add to my library. I would really love to win this one. PLEASE !!!!
I absolutely love Riders of Berk because it’s the best animated series following a major blockbuster movie that keeps almost the same visual quality, keeps the same tone as the movie and has something to offer to the viewers as well.
Always my first pick to watch. <3
Searching the forest, Hiccup finds the dragon trapped in a shallow glade; the dragon’s tail was injured, preventing it from flying normally. Hiccup discovers a way to earn the dragon’s trust and begins to care for it. He names the Night Fury “Toothless”, for its retractable teeth. Later, Hiccup fashions a makeshift harness and prosthetic tail that allows him to guide the dragon in free flight. Hiccup is able to transfer his knowledge of dragons to the other species of dragons at dragon-fighting class, appearing to conquer each one in battle and becoming the star pupil, much to the dismay of Astrid, a girl in dragon training on whom Hiccup has a crush. Eventually Hiccup completes the class and gets the chance to kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Meanwhile, the battered Viking fleet arrives home.
My son loves Dragons Riders of Berk. He has seen the movie, watches the cartoons, attended the theater production and celebrated his birthday with the theme.
for my nephew!
My daughter loves the show! Her favorite is Toothless!
