Here’s a sight you probably thought you’d never see: Helen Mirren as a badass with uzi machine-guns in each hand as she shoots the bad guys.
This is one of the joys of the latest summer blockbuster, “Red 2,” also starring Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich and Catherine Zeta Jones.
The glittery premiere was held last night at the Ziegfeld Theater.

I made it to the afterparty at Manhattan’s newest hot spot Refinery Rooftop in the garment district.
Bruce Willis turned up with his gorgeous young wife Emma Herning. The couple held hands and kept to a quiet corner all evening. Late in the evening Willis, went over to the corner table where Mary-Louise Parker sat for a long conversation. Neither of them spoke to the press.

Hopkins’ publicist told me he was not there because he was in Atlanta filming “Solace,” but that he was in Manhattan the day before to participate in the press conference.
The party was low key and intimate. Unfortunately, Mirren was a no show.
Reality star Kelly Bensimon, who is from Illinois, told me she had a good time doing “The Real Housewives of New York,” but that it was hard: “I’m not used to fighting with women,” she said.
The Veuve Clicquot flowed all night at the party, hosted by the Cinema Society and Bally.
