Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Gabby Douglas scored big at last night’s 2013 BET Awards, held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. Each star took home several awards each.
“Think Like a Man” grabbed Best Movie (interesting that it bested “Django Unchained”), and Drake landed the Video of the Year for “Started From the Bottom.”
Rihanna scored Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, winning out over Beyonce, Tamar Braxton, Alicia Keys, and Elle Varner.
The competition was equally tight for Best Actor, with Jamie Foxx winning over Don Cheadle, Common, Samuel L. Jackson and Denzel Washington. Whew!
Special awards handed out during the night included the Lifetime Achievement Award for Charlie Wilson, the FANdemonium Award for Chris Brown, and the Humanitarian Award for basketball player Dwyane Wade.
