WGA Pickets at E! TV in Support of ‘Fashion Police’ Writers

Fashion Police

The writers of the popular and snarky Joan Rivers show, “Fashion Police,” have been on strike since April 17. Their initial complaints were that they did not receive pay for overtime.

The Writers Guild of America West sent out a release earlier to announce that in support of the “Fashion Police” striking writers, there will be a picket and rally at E! TV headquarters today.

The writers are protesting E!’s unfair labor practices and violations of California wage and hour law. Writers on the highly-rated E! show do not receive health care and pension benefits, and are demonstrating and rallying  to be covered by a WGA contract.

The rally and demonstration are scheduled for today, May 23, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PT at E! Entertainment Television, 5750 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.

The voice no one’s heard on this issue is Joan Rivers, who’s never been accused before of keeping her mouth shut when it comes to giving her opinions.
