“Laverne & Shirley” Season 6 is a 3-disc, 22-episode set that follows Laverne De Fazio (Marshall) and Shirley Feeney (Williams) as they leave Milwaukee for Hollywood. Of course, Lenny (Michael McKean) and Squiggy (David L. Lander) pack up and move to Tinseltown with them. The girls get new jobs, new friends and new adventures, including experiencing their first earthquake to being stuntwomen in a movie to almost getting married.

    I loved that show. They were women pioneers (not including Lucy and Carol B. of course) for sitcoms. Love Laverne – so funny, and had great timing. Penny turned into an accomplished film direct too. I want to see her direct again!

    I so loved Betty Garrett as “Edna”. Something about Garrett’s characters seemed timeless as if she had the empowered will of “Maude” mixed with “Rosie the Riveter’s” resolve and spunk.

    I liked them both, maybe a slight edge going to Shirley. They were a good comedic duo.

    Hello, I am an ardent fan of Laverne & Shirley and I am trying to call attention to a very serious issue concerning season six on DVD. Please switch to disc 2, the Malibu Mansion episode. The ENTIRE story line has been cut from this episode. I am desperately trying any means possible to get people’s attention. We as consumers cannot be ripped off like this!

    I have also taken to Twitter at the CBS pages (@ cbshe) and the Paramount home video page (@ paramountdvds) as well as the official Laverne & Shirley Facebook page and the CBS Home Entertainment Facebook page.

    Please help spread the word! I GUARANTEE you will be as outraged as I am after viewing this episode on your own DVD!

    When I was a kid watching the show, I had a crush on Lenny. He was my favorite character, a little more shy and polite than Squiggy!
