Alexander Skarsgard, Julianne Moore and young Onata Aprile walked the red carpet for the screening of their new film, “What Maisie Knew” on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City. Julianne is wearing a Valentino dress, Tabitha Simmons shoes, Cartier jewels, and Tods clutch.
“What Maisie Knew” is a contemporary New York City revisioning of the Henry James novella by the same name. The story revolves around 7-year-old Maisie, caught in the middle of a custody battle between her aging rock star mom Susanna (Moore) and art dealer dad Beale (Steve Coogan). Skarsgard plays Susanna’s new amour, and Joanna Vanderham is the nanny who gets involved with Beale.
The screening was hosted by The Cinema Society, Tod’s and GQ, and also included directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel; producers Daniel Crown, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, William Teitler & Charles Weinstock; executive producer Riva Marker; and Steve Nickerson, president of Millennium Entertainment.
Other attendees included Natalie Dormer and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Games of Thrones”), Zosie Mamet (“Girls”), Penn Badgley (“Gossip Girl”), Russell Simmons, Mark Feuerstein, Paul Haggis and Jack Huston.
