The Bible on The History Channel

The Bible is a pretty huge undertaking to try and adapt for TV, so who better to take it on than super producer Mark Burnett (“Survivor”) and his wife Roma Downey (“Touched by an Angel”)? It’s a match made in, uh, heaven.

No way could anyone fit The Bible into a two-hour movie, so Burnett and Downey have produced a 10-hour miniseries premiering on The History Channel Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 8/7c. Perfect for the Easter/Lenten season.

Downey plays Mother Mary and Emmy-winner Keith David provides voice-overs throughout. Oscar- and Grammy-award winning composer Hans Zimmer created the musical score to the iconic saga.
