I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person who can’t stand Taylor Swift, right? I mean, it can’t be just me and all her exes. But I’m sure this is good news to a few “New Girl“ fans when I write that Taylor Swift has been confirmed as a guest star on this season’s finale.
While Wikipedia and other sites list the season two finale as “Winston’s Birthday (Part I and II)”, E! Online reports that the final episode is now titled “Downton Abbey Christmas Special.”
In any case, the finale revolves around the nuptials of Cece and Shivrang. Swift has been cast as Elaine (a la “The Graduate”?), an ex-girlfriend of Shivrang’s who will disrupt the couple’s wedding.
Can I hope that Shivrang has a change of heart and leaves Cece at the altar long enough for Schmidt to swoop in and save the day, so as not to leave a humiliated Cece standing alone with no groom?! If that’s the case, bring on the Swift-ster!
It makes sense that Cece should be the one left at the altar versus her leaving Shivrang. Cece is the one desperate to get married. Even if she thought it was the biggest mistake in the world, she’d still go through with it, don’t you think?
I can see the dialogue now — Taylor Swift will interject when the priest says, “If any man can show just cause why these two may not be joined together, let him now speak, or forever hold his peace.”
Shivrang will be surprised she’s even there (and secretly delighted), and he’ll say, “I thought you said we were never ever ever getting back together?” Come on, you know they have to put that in there, right? I should get residuals for this. LOL.
He’ll run off with her, and Cece will look to see her “Jew in a Turban” has arrived as Schmidt rides in like a knight in shining armor (maybe literally?) to save her. The plotline to get Schmidt into a suit of armor is bound to contain laughs, wouldn’t you think? I could go, as Schmidt would say, “ALL DAY!” with this. ALL DAY!
Okay, can you tell I read way too many romance novels? Personally, I can’t wait to see everyone in bright fluorescent Bollywood attire!
