Pop Culture Daily: Emma Watson and 50 Shades, Tony Awards and Radio City, GLAAD, Madonna and Boy Scouts

GLAAD: Madonna Dons Boy Scout Uniform

Madonna wore a Boy Scout uniform to the GLAAD Awards, during which she presented Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo award. She called on the Boy Scouts of America organization to end its ban on gay members.

“The Killing’s” Joel Kinnaman is joining Tom Hardy in “Child 44,” Ridley Scott‘s 1950s-era thriller about the Soviet military police. Kinnaman will play Hardy’s murderous nemesis, and Noomi Rapace also stars as Hardy’s chameleon-like wife. We’re down with that casting.

The Tony Awards are returning to Radio City. Good thing, Broadway aficionados?

Emma WatsonHas Emma Watson been cast in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie? Not so, she says after hacked film documents hit the Interwebs. “Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie?” she tweeted. “Like really. For real. In real life. Good. Well that’s sorted then.”

Christian Bale is donning a toga to play Moses in Ridley Scott’s biblical epic “Exodus.” Yep, we’re loving that.

This is cool. Frugal Kiwi alerts us that Ian McKellen will officiate at the wedding of Patrick Stewart and girlfriend Sunny Ozell. Turns out, McKellen is an old hat at this.

Miley Cyrus is apparently “clinging to hope” of a reconciliation with Liam Hemsworth. Hmm … if you’re clinging to hope this early in the game, maybe it’s time to move on. Plus he never looks very happy in photos of them together, does he? Body language tells all.

We’re not sure if we’d want this car or not. Ok, we totally would. Jesse Pinkman’s 1983 Toyota Tercel beater from “Breaking Bad” is being sold. And … it’s a backup for the actual car used on the show, so maybe it’s not quite as cool as we originally thought.
