New on Acorn Streaming: The Syndicate, The Scarlet Pimpernel

The SyndicateHere’s some good news for fans of British TV. Acorn TV, the first British TV-focused streaming service in North America, is now streaming a couple of cool shows. The rundown:

  • The U.S. debut of “The Syndicate,” which ABC is currently adapting for U.S. television about a group of supermarket workers who win the lottery; and
  • The 1980s classic “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” starring Anthony Andrews (“Brideshead Revisited”), Jane Seymour (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”), and Ian McKellen (“The Lord of the Rings”).

Additionally, Acorn TV is still streaming complete series’ marathons for two of the most critically-acclaimed and popular series in television history – Helen Mirren’s “Prime Suspect” and the iconic 1970s “Upstairs, Downstairs,” without which we might not have the stylish “Downton Abbey.”
