Can you even bear to think about the 2014 Oscars yet?
Just when we thought it was safe to refrain from thinking about the golden statuettes for a while, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences sent out a release this week announcing dates for the 2014 and 2015 Oscar telecasts.
In 2014, the Oscars will take place on March 2 — a week later than 2013.
In 2015, the Oscars will be rolled back to February 22.
The Academy has settled on the later date of March in 2014 presumably to avoid a conflict with the Winter Olympics, which takes place the last three weeks of February.
