Good news! Helen Fielding is writing a new “Bridget Jones” novel. The book will take place in present day London and “represents a totally new phase in Bridget’s life,” notes a press release. We’re guessing it dovetails with the upcoming movie, “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” starring Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth.
We’ve missed James Caan since “Las Vegas” ended, so super happy to hear the news that he’ll star in ABC’s Cullen Brothers comedy pilot. He’ll play a beer-swilling former baseball player whose estranged single-mom daughter temporarily moves in with him.
Duncan Jones (loved his 2009 movie “Moon”) is set to direct a “World of Warcraft” movie, possibly starring Johnny Depp. No, we’re not making this up.

Hmmm … apparently not everyone liked Beyonce‘s Super Bowl apparel. Especially PETA. Her skin-tight outfit is reported to have been made from strips of engineered python, paneled iguana and trapunto leather. Really? Why? It could have been vinyl and we never would have known.
Emily VanCamp is in talks for a role in the “Captain America” sequel, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” She might play the character of Sharon Carter, the niece of Hayley Atwell‘s character Peggy Carter from the first flick.
