Oscars 2013: Seth MacFarlane

How did Seth MacFarlane do hosting the Oscars? I loved the opening monologue, with the whole bit about how people expected him to be rude and edgy, but then Capt. Kirk came back from the future to tell him what he’s doing wrong and offer guidance.

So MacFarlane kicked it up a notch by going old school Hollywood with the song and dance numbers. Having Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum dance onstage was awesome, as was Daniel Radcliffe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s number.

Sally Field also made an appearance while Seth played her classic character, The Flying Nun.

What did you think? Did you like MacFarlane’s hosting gig? Here’s the full opening bit.
