The second trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” is playing in theaters right now.
It features all sorts of interesting things, including Leonardo DiCaprio as the mysterious Jay Gatsby, a huge mansion with pillars and swimming pools (just the right setting for a glitzy party with dancing girls), a big sailboat, shiny roadsters whizzing through the streets, and Tobey Maguire getting snarled up in a web of intrigue.
You know the story: Nick Carraway (Maguire), a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio). He’s drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.
Run away, Tobey! Don’t look directly into his eyes! You’ll be sorry!
