Online Film Critics Society Announce Winners: Argo, The Master and More

Argo

Drum roll! The Online Film Critics Society, the largest international online critics organization, have spoken.

The online group is known for its artsy picks, but this is a pretty populist lineup. Argo got the top prize for best film, so Ben Affleck should be celebrating; his Oscar chances just got a little rosier. Or not. Last year they gave this award to Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life, and the Oscar went to The Artist.

It’s no surprise that Jessica Chastain and Daniel Day-Lewis scored the top acting prizes. And Anne Hathaway bested Sally Field, while Philip Seymour Hoffman picked up another best supporting nod.
