My inbox is filling up with emails from movie studios and distributors about what’s ahead in 2013. It’s always a thrill for me, because even if I know certain films are coming down the pike, it sort of solidifies it in my head about what’s coming.
Below is a look at what’s on tap from Fox Searchlight in 2013. This division of Fox Entertainment Group specializes in a lot of independent and British films, foreign films, dramedies and horror. They’re no doubt riding high right now because many of their films are doing well in the awards race this season, including Beasts of the Southern Wild, Hitchcock, The Sessions, and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

And of course, last year, they did really well with The Descendants. You can always count on a Fox Searchlight film to be thoughtful, well written, well directed, sometimes funny and sometimes sad.
