Hick isn’t the kind of movie you’re going to want to take your kids to, but for a grownup movie, the premise and cast look amazing.
Adapted from the [amazon_link id=”1932961321″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]acclaimed novel by Andrea Portes[/amazon_link], the movie stars Chloe Grace Moretz as small town teenager Luli who escapes to Las Vegas, leaving behind her alcoholic and abusive parents. Armed with her smarts, a pistol and pocket money, she hitchhikes her way west. Yes, it’s controversial, because she’s a teenager.
Along the way, Luli crosses paths with Eddie (Eddie Redmayne), an unstable rebel with questionable motives, and Glenda (Blake Lively), a cocaine-snorting drifter on the run. Directed by Derick Martini, Hick is rated R for disturbing content involving a teen, violence, drug use, language and drinking.
Here’s a sweet photo of Chloe Grace Moretz and Emma Roberts at the premiere. Love these young actors, both of whom have amazing careers ahead of them.
Sounds like a very intriguing movie. The young actresses must be very talented to get into their roles and pull it off- as they look so sweet- I know it will take some skilled acting on their part.
