Best.Oscar.Trailer.Ever.

Oscars 2012I was pretty excited when word came out that Billy Crystal would be hosting the Oscars. Ok, pretty excited doesn’t really describe it. More like SUPER excited!

But then I saw the Oscar trailer that hit the Interwebs last night, and I was super DUPER excited! It’s the exact right trailer for the exact right host at the exact right time in our nation’s history when we can all use a good laugh.

Oscar teamed up with the crew at Funny or Die and, well, just take a look for yourself below. How brilliant to get Robin Williams, Josh Duhamel, Megan Fox, William Fichtner and Vinnie Jones involved.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards will air live on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. Be there or be square. Ok, if you can’t actually be THERE, at least be in your living room watching with your friends and family.

Love it! So funny. Billy Crystal is always a fun host. The Funny or Die trailers are great–did you see the one about Leonardo DiCaprio, or maybe I read about it here.

You know of my undying love for When Harry Met Sally, but this reminded me of Billy’s classic appearance in The Princess Bride. Love him, so happy he’s returning, and thank god Robin Williams isn’t hosting instead!

So glad he’s coming back to host the Oscars. They were not the same without him! Little bit of trivia for you: we grew up in the same town (Long Beach, NY., and his brother was my art teacher!)

Hi Jane. I too am so happy to see Billy Crystal coming back to MC to Oscars. He’s not only funny, but he lends a certain amount of class to the whole production when he’s up there on stage. He makes it a fun, classy event.
