The Muppets Movie Poster – The Legs Are Creeping Me Out

There’s just something so wrong about this poster for ‘The Muppets’ movie coming out Nov. 23, 2011. Muppets don’t have legs and feet — or if they do, they’re hanging over a lily-pad while Kermit’s singing about being green. They’re not coming towards us like some creepy maniacal muppet mob.

What’s next? Miss Piggy telling James Caan she’s his biggest fan? Fozzie Bear sitting behind a desk asking people to make him an offer he can’t refuse? Nope, people-legs on Muppets is a path of no return. And I’m not alone either. Movieline calls the legs “chillingly creepy.” Path of no return, people.

Hmmm… See, I don’t think they are all that creepy. And, I’m often easily creeped out.

At first view I thought they were, but then I thought, ok what would i want the legs to look like and I couldn’t think of anything better.

It’s interesting… I never even think of the Muppets having legs. And I wonder if the legs are going to be a big part of the movie. I just can’t even imagine them walking around. Ok, now I’ll have to go back and watch the other Muppet movies to see how they handled the leg issue.

Growing up as a muppet fan,it just seems weird–plus don’t Kermit’s legs look way to long? I do like the trailer for the movie. Very clever, funny.

I don’t think it’s particularly creepy either. The movie producers probably feel that they need to keep reinventing the Muppets (while giving movie audiences some of what they’re used to) in order to keep it fresh and relevant.
