Yes, I know Cannes 2011 is ancient history now — the festival took place May 11 – 22, 2011 — but I just have to post a couple photos of power couple extraordinaire Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They sure know how to make an entrance, don’t they?
I just read in People magazine that Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively are an item (hanging with Spielberg in the French Riviera, no less), and I could definitely see them giving Brad and Angie a run for the money in the power couple department. But for now, I’m still going with Brad and Angie.
If I had all the money the world, I’d take a trip around the world visiting all the film festivals and watching one great movie after another. Until then, I’ll just live vicariously through magazines and Web sites.
My ulterior motive is that a lot of the films that create buzz at festivals like Cannes and Sundance — like Pitt’s ‘The Tree of Life‘ — end up at our Traverse City Film Festival in the summer. Looking forward to it.
