Hobbit Woods

Cool Photo of the Day: The Hobbit Woods

I’ve always had an active imagination, and I’m glad to say that’s still true at this stage of the game – two teenagers and half-way through life.

Today’s Cool Photo of the Day comes to us courtesy of yesterday’s walk through the woods, a woods not unlike the woods above the Falls of Rauros beneath Nen Hithoel, where things got really interesting at the end of ‘[amazon_link id=”B000067DNF” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring[/amazon_link].’

As you’ll recall, Boromir (Sean Bean, now Eddard Stark in ‘Game of Thrones‘) was killed when the merry gang of hobbits, elves, dwarves, kings and the like were attacked by Orcs. Or, more specifically, Uruk-hai, Saruman’s hybrid race of Orc-Goblin Men. Fortunately, none of them jumped out at me while I journeyed through these woods…

‘The Hobbit, Part 1’ (check out the official Hobbit Movie Blog) is currently filming and set to arrive in theaters Dec. 19, 2012. Merry Christmas to all.

Love it! Can’t wait to hear more about Game of Thrones. I’ve been a huge fan of the George R.R. Martin novels for years and have been keen to watch the new HBO series ASAP.
