Jennifer Aniston in The Switch

I must admit, I’d totally forgotten about ‘The Switch’ until my Click Communications buddy Jackie Cavanagh emailed to see if I wanted a review copy (why yes, I would – thanks, Jackie!).

Look, the past few Jennifer Aniston movies have all blended together, haven’t they? It’s like one long movie that comes back to theaters every month or so. Maybe it’s because a lot of the roles she plays are really similar.

Jennifer Aniston in The SwitchAnd not only that, she’s also morphed from playing the “girl next door” to playing the “mom next door.” She’s 42 now, so I guess it’s only natural that her parts would change as she gets older.

And DO check out ‘The Switch’ on [amazon_link id=”B004IK30PA” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]DVD[/amazon_link] or [amazon_link id=”B004IK30R8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Blu-ray[/amazon_link], even if I sort of forgot about it shortly after I left the theater (read my review here).

Aniston plays a single woman who decides to have a baby with a charming sperm donor played by Patrick Wilson. What she doesn’t realize is that a last-minute “switch” results in the sperm donor being her neurotic friend, played by Jason Bateman. All hilarity ensues.

DVD Special Features:

‘The Switch’ is rated PG-13 for mature thematic content, sexual material including dialogue, some nudity, drug use and language. Let’s take a look at a few roles where Jen “switches” into a mom…

  1. Funny premise. So, is it worth watching? All of Jennifer Aniston’s movies do seem to run into one another. I think she’s adorable, though, so maybe this is a better role for her (?)

  2. I just got The Switch in the mail from Blockbuster last night and ended up watching it right away. It was so much better than I expected. It’s even better too, considering that I have such a great, cost-effective way of renting movies with Blockbuster online. Not only does Blockbuster have an exhaustive selection of movies and games, they have in-store exchange options and many of the new releases before Redbox or Netflix. I’m also happy to say that as an employee of DISH Network I get to offer new customers 3 months of Blockbuster absolutely free. It’s a great value added to an already incredible deal. You can check out the details here if you’d like to: http://goo.gl/wuMrN I definitely recommend it, it’s certainly worth a few minutes of your time.

    • Ok, Travis, I’m letting this through, just because you included an intelligent comment about The Switch. I’ll even leave in your link to Dish Network, because my mom uses Dish Network and likes it. But don’t make a habit of it!
