I Guess Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler Will ‘Just Go With It’

I’m not an Adam Sandler fan. The only movie of his I’ve ever tolerated was ‘Bedtime Stories,’ but that had more to do with the sweet story than Adam Sandler. I’ve heard ‘The Wedding Singer’ was good, but I’ll reserve judgment until I actually watch it. And one of my son’s favorite movies is ‘Happy Gilmore.’ I’m so-so on it.

just-go-with-it-poster-1 Likewise, Jennifer Aniston’s movie career hasn’t knocked my socks off. I love the IDEA of her in a movie, but every time I see one, I’m always underwhelmed. ‘The Switch,’ ‘The Bounty Hunter,’ ‘Love Happens,’ ‘The Break-Up,’ and ‘Rumor Has It’ did nothing for me. Again, though, I WANTED to like them. It’s bad when her most memorable role was way back in ‘Office Space’ as the “pieces of flair” girl.

So based on my own feelings about these two actors and their lackluster movie careers, I don’t have high hopes for ‘Just Go With It,’ a romantic comedy due in theaters  Feb. 11, 2011. It’s about a man who enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams. Nicole Kidman also stars (wait, what?). I already know how this thing ends.

It’s written by Sandler (strike one), directed by Sandler-favorite Dennis Dugan (strike two – he directed ‘Grown Ups,’ ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry,’ and a bunch of other lame Sandler movies), and it’s being marked as a Valentine’s movie (strike three – these never work).

Even the poster looks like it was photo-shopped together in about three minutes. Please, someone get these two a career overhaul! Watch the trailer after the jump…

Oh, my. A fellow Adam Sandler non-fan! I just can’t seem to tolerate him. My son love Happy Gilmore, too, but I can’t even manage to stay in the room when he’s on.
