Man, there is just NOTHING I want to see today – or that’s appropriate for a family movie review (click here to syndicate my family movie column in your publication).

There ARE a few movies in limited release I’d love to see, but they haven’t yet arrived here in northern Michigan. So if you’re one of the publications who syndicates my reviews, don’t be alarmed if I backtrack and review ‘Easy A’ or ‘You Again,’ or a fabulous new DVD I haven’t yet reviewed.

In the meantime, if you’re into horror movies, perhaps you’re heading out to see ‘Saw 3D.’ Or not. Frankly, I can’t wait to get past Halloween and all the horror movies, and get into some of the fun holiday movies we’ve got coming up (‘Harry Potter’! ‘Megamind’! ‘Breaking Dawn’!).

After the jump, check out what’s new in theaters this weekend…

Saw 3D – It’s being billed as “The Final Chapter.” Right. Anyway, the story follows a deadly battle over Jigsaw’s (Tobin Bell) brutal legacy. A group of his survivors gather seeking the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery), a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror. Directed by Kevin Greutert; rated R for sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, and language; 90 min.
