My son keeps me in the know about new video games coming out. I must say, there are some really cool games out there right now.
One we’ve been looking forward to is Obsidian Entertainment’s ‘Fallout: New Vegas,’ being released tomorrow. The game takes place in the year 2281, three years after the estimated end of ‘Fallout 3’ and 204 years after the Great War of 2077.
The role-playing game is set in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas, Nevada and the Mojave Desert known as the “Mojave Wasteland.” Unlike other cities in the ‘Fallout’ series, Las Vegas was not struck directly by a nuclear attack.
Its buildings remain intact, and mutation of its inhabitants is minimal. Featured landmarks include the Hoover Dam and the Helios 1 solar energy plant. Meet new people, confront terrifying creatures, and arm yourself with the latest high-tech weaponry as you make your way across the Mojave wasteland.
After the jump, check out a behind-the-scenes look at the cast and the latest TV spot.
‘Fallout: New Vegas” also boasts an impressive and inspired voice cast, including Ron Perlman, Matthew Perry, Wayne Newton, William Sadler and Kris Kristofferson.
Note that ‘Fallout: New Vegas” is rated Mature for blood and gore, intense language, sexual content, strong language and use of drugs (in short, not for kids).
