Just in Time for Halloween: Scooby Doo! Camp Scare

Boy, that Scooby Doo just keeps on chugging, doesn’t he? I watched the goofy Great Dane and Mystery, Inc. gang as a kid, then my kids watched them, and even though they’re teenagers now, we all still love Scooby Doo!

scooby-doo-camp-scareShould we ignore the fact that Shaggy seems high all the time and has a constant case of the munchies? Ok, we’ll just ignore it for now.

Scooby Doo! Camp Scare’ is an all-new original movie, released on DVD and Blu-ray Sept. 14, 2010. Just in time for Halloween! I love Halloween movies the whole family can watch and not get scared out of our minds.

This one finds the gang at Camp Little Moose, where the counselors are friendly, the activities endless, and the urban legends intense. In fact, every time someone tells a ghost story about The Woodsman, The Fishman or The Banshee of Black Canyon, the creepy creatures spring to life!

But after solving hundreds of mysteries over the years, the gang doesn’t spook easily. And I just love it when they pull the mask or hood off a guy at the end and yell simultaneously, “Ranger Smith!?” (Or whatever!)

I love Scooby-doo. I couldn’t get enough as a kid and now I’m so glad my 7 y-o is a fan too. I’m sure we’ll be watching this one. And I’m sure the plot is radically different from the last–which was something about a samurai (yeah, you can guess the plot just from that). I’ll be looking for this…

I watched Scooby-doo every Saturday morning as a kid. My kids liked him too. Even though the plots are all essentially the same, you can’t help but love them.

Hrmm, I wonder if I still have the stomach for Scooby Doo after all these years? I remember loving it as a kid.
