This year’s Streamy Awards — the 2nd Annual – are set to air Sun., April 11, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. PST on www.streamys.org. They’ll be held at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
If you’re not even sure what these are, here’s the scoop. The Streamy Awards are like the Oscars or the Emmys, only they’re devoted to honoring the best and brightest in original Web TV programming. Categories include Performance, Directing, Writing, Editing, Visual Effects, and Sound.
Last year’s winners include ‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog’ (audience choice for best web series, among other awards), Felicia Day (best female actor in a comedy web series, ‘The Guild’), and Paul Rudd (best guest star in a web series, ‘Wainy Days’).
This year’s nominees can be found here, and include ‘Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis,’ Lisa Kudrow (‘Web Therapy’), Eric Balfour (‘Valemont’), and many others. Here’s a video about the 2010 Viewer’s Choice Nominees.
