Ready for the Oscars? Think ‘The Hurt Locker’ Will Win Best Picture?

I’ve been so busy re-building this site after the b5Media fiasco that the Oscars have come upon me all of a sudden it seems. But as all movie lovers know, the big event is tonight.

What I love about this year’s Oscars is that all of the Best Picture nominees are so darn diverse. We have everything from a small independent film like ‘An Education’ to a big blockbuster sci-fi like ‘Avatar.’

And literally everything in between: A ripped from the headlines film (‘Up in the Air’), a sweet animated movie (‘Up’), a quirky Coen Brothers film (‘A Serious Man’), an intense drama (‘Precious’), an action-packed war film (‘Inglourious Basterds’), a Peter Jackson sci-fi (‘District 9’), an inspirational family drama (’The Blind Side’), and a tense war drama (‘The Hurt Locker’).

I think ‘The Hurt Locker’ is going to take it, although we’ll see how things go tonight. Check back for photos and commentary later.
