You usually don’t see the names Nicole Kidman and Adam Sandler in the same sentence, but hey, it could work. Especially with Jennifer Aniston onboard, too.
You’ll see all three in Columbia’s romantic comedy ‘Just Go For It,’ in which Sandler recruits Aniston to pose as his soon-to-be-divorced wife and her kids as his fake family in order to land the girl of his dreams. You can already tell where this plot is headed, but that’s ok.
No word on Kidman’s role yet, but it’s rumored to be cameo in nature. Sports Illustrated cover model Brooklyn Decker will play Sandler’s dream girl.
The movie was originally called ‘Pretend Wife.’ I like all the players – even Sandler, even though I haven’t always been onboard with his movies. My kids and I loved ‘Bedtime Stories,’ and there’s definitely more there than some of the dumber comedies he’s done, like ‘You Don’t Mess With the Zohan’ and ‘Deuce Bigalow.’
I almost think Sandler should stay behind the camera as a producer, because the films he’s produced lately have been mostly fun – ‘The House Bunny’ and ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop’ among them.
