I can’t wait for ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to hit theaters March 5, 2010 – this Friday! And in 3D! The cast looks terrific, including Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. That’s him in Venice, Italy, waving to adoring fans while boarding a water taxi.
The movie once again pairs Depp with director Tim Burton. The story picks up with 19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returning to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
It also stars Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Alan Rickman as the Blue Caterpillar, and Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts.
