POOH'S
HEFFALUMP HALLOWEEN MOVIE
by Jane Louise
Boursaw
Rated G. Ok for all ages. 67 min. Voices by Jim
Cummings, John Fiedler, Nikita Hopkins and Kyle Stanger. Released on DVD
Sept. 13, 2005.
It’s a haunted Halloween in the Hundred Acre Woods,
and Roo’s new Heffalump pal, Lumpy, is excited to be trick-or-treating
for the first time. That is, until Tigger warns them about the dreaded
Gobloon who'll turn them into a “jaggedy lantern” if he catches them!
But if they catch the Gobloon first, the two friends get to make a wish.
THE WRAP-UP: This is a sequel to
Pooh’s Heffalump Movie from earlier this year, and also the gang’s first
Halloween-themed movie in eight years. A little long in spots, it’s
still a cute story and a great way to get little ones excited about
Halloween. The plot is easy to follow and not too scary, which is
wonderful for kids five and under. You can’t go wrong with the loveable
Pooh and his forest friends.
DVD FEATURES: Games & Activities
include Trick or Re-Treat, Pass the Pumpkin, and Pooh’s Boo Bingo. The
Heffalump Halloween Party Planner includes invitations, recipes, and a
“decorate your own lantern” guide.
SCORE:
3 out of 4 Reels.
