The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel: Watch DVD and Blu-ray Featurettes

If you haven’t seen The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel yet, you’re in luck. One of my favorite films of 2012 is coming to DVD and blu-ray on Sept. 18 — this week!

Best Exotic Marigold Hotel I defy you to not love this delightful film starring Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, and Maggie Smith as just a few of the seniors who decide to “outsource” their retirement to a resort in far-off India, where friendship and romance blossom in the most unexpected ways.

Based on the book These Foolish Things by Deborah Moggach, this film is smart, life-affirming and charming. Here’s a snippet from my review over at A Traveler’s Library:

“None of these actors phone it in. They’re the real deal, and you can tell they’ve been in the acting business for decades. It’s a pleasure to watch such great performances from people who clearly love the craft of acting.”

And here are a few featurettes to get you jazzed about the DVD/Blu-ray release. Buy The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel on Amazon today.

This movie sounds very charming and lovely. It will be that movie that I watch when my husband is busy doing something. After reading about the film and watching some of the trailers I definitely want to see it because of its phenomenal cast and the beauty that is India. I’ve already added it to my Blockbuster @ Home movie queue and it should be arriving via mail in the next few days. Everyone on the cast seems to interact so seamlessly that it makes it feel genuine and that’s one of the things that I like about this movie. I work at DISH so I’ve been using Blockbuster for some time now and I really like it. I’ve found that foreign films are sometimes hidden gems and that has led me to be more open when choosing films these days. I hope that this one is as good as it looks.
