If you’re on the other side of the country, but want to keep up to date on all the happenings at the Sundance Film Festival, here’s a great option. Follow all the filmmakers, critics and actors on Twitter.

Basil Tsiokos, a programming associate for the Sundance Film Festival (@sundancefest), put together a great Twitter list called Sundance2012filmmakers that includes filmmakers such as @SpikeLee (Spike Lee, Red Hook Summer), @Birbigs (Mike Birbiglia, Sleepwalk With Me) and @EricWareheim (Eric Wareheim, Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Move).

Also on the list: actors like @hitRECordjoe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and @Common (Common) and film critics like @aoscott (A.O. Scott, the New York Times).

Not into Twitter? Facebook more your thing? That’s ok. Hop over and Like the Sundance Facebook page. You’ll find all kinds of cool stuff on there — video clips, live streams, interviews and more.

Thanks, Mel! Some good tweets coming through that list. Looks like the West of Memphis crew is already making a splash.
