How often do you think about pollination? I can’t stop thinking about it after my friend Rachel Dickinson sent this video along. It’s from TED 2011, with filmmaker Louis Schwartzberg discussing the hidden beauty of pollination.

Seriously, this is one of the most gorgeous pieces of film I’ve ever seen, and it’ll make you think about all the tiny things we never see in a new and enlightened way.

The documentary is called Hidden Beauty: A Love Story That Feeds the Earth. It’s being distributed by DisneyNature, although I don’t see a release date in the U.S. I’m wondering if it’s part of another DisneyNature film, but I’ll keep you posted on that.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment and Design.

Also check out Rachel Dickinson’s word play at The Haiku Diaries.
