I’m on an email list for Top Ten Real Estate Deals, and since that’s not really my beat, I tend to glance at the headlines and move on. Plus, it reminds me of watching ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.’ I could never look away, but watching that show just ticked me off because I couldn’t afford my own villa in the South of France.
But something in these real estate emails usually catches my eye, because they include fun celeb stuff like the Great Gatsby Mansion facing the wrecking ball, nine creepy mansions for sale (one owned by Osama bin Laden’s brother), Glenn Beck’s home (price reduced!), and the closing of the Rat Pack’s Vegas hang-out — the Sahara Hotel and Casino. And here’s a listing for Cary Grant’s Palm Springs estate. Oh, if those walls could talk.
