BABY
EINSTEIN - MEET THE ORCHESTRA
by Jane Louise
Boursaw
Not Rated. Ok for kids 1 to 3.
Released on DVD March 7, 2006. 3 out of 4 Reels.
The folks
behind the Baby Einstein series do it again with this new DVD guaranteed
to keep little ones mesmerized. Babies love music! And what better way
to introduce them to various sights and sounds than with the instruments
found in an orchestra.
This DVD uses
fun puppet shows, real-life images, and beautiful music by Beethoven,
Brahms, Joplin, Haydn, Mozart and Strauss to engage babies, get them
moving, and stimulate their little brains. It's been said that classical
music helps build brain power, and while I don't know if that's true, I
do know that babies will love this DVD.
Parents are
encouraged to watch it with their babies and talk about what they see,
but it's also useful if you need to do laundry, catch up on bills, or
just put your feet up and rest for a few minutes. While the visuals
aren't as good as some of the other Baby Einstein offerings, I doubt
that babies will care. Extras include discovery cards, a "Guess the
Instrument" game, Maestro's Recital, and more.
